Shopping in Haiti

Shopping is set up a little differently. But, you still can buy pretty much anything you can buy in the states.

You don't have to go to a gallery for art, just walk down the street.

Hungry? Stop for a snack

Need auto supplies?

There's the "variety" shops

There's the bedding stores

The shoe shops have more shoes than DSW

This has to be a one-stop-shop

No price is ever set in stone. They will haggle with you and make you a deal. Whatever it takes to make the sale, they will do. Even if it includes following you as you walk away. Most items you end up getting for half price or less. Can you imagine walking into DSW and telling the clerk you really don't want to pay $50 for that pair of shoes and they reply with "ok, how about $30?"... then you start to walk away and they yell out "OK, $25!"....
